It’s Jewel’s satire of celebrity worship and commercialism. I haven’t seen many videos in the new millennium. Heck, I haven’t seen many videos since the eighties. This is one of my favorites. I love how Jewel did a 180-turn from her folksy yodeling. I don’t recall really liking anything else on her pop album 0304. But this is a classic, even if the “Kate Moss can’t find a job” line is a bit dated. I don’t think “big butt is boss” anymore.

Sadly, Jewel sold out and let Schick use this song for their Intuition line of lady’s razors.
